Guerrieri Earns Top Awards TORONTO, Canada (January 9, 2004)
2003 Canadian Formula Ford Champion Christopher Guerrieri is hoping that a recent
surge in publicity will help him in his quest to finalize sponsorship agreements
for the 2004 racing season. The 20-year-old native of Pickering, Ontario, who
earned successive titles as Rookie-of-the-Year and Champion in the 2002 and
2003 Formula Ford Championship, is featured in the February edition of the U.S.
automotive publication Motor Trend and will soon be seen in public service announcements
for sponsor The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC)
in more than 500 movie theatres across Canada.
"This is a very exciting time for me," says Guerrieri, "I intend
to move up the racing ladder in 2004 and this type of publicity and media placement
right now clearly demonstrates to our current sponsors, as well as those we
are now in discussion with, that our program is focused on delivering exceptional
branding opportunities both on and away from the racetrack."
"We worked very hard in 2003 to create a program that would allow our sponsors
to see returns on their investment throughout the entire calendar year. This
feature in Motor Trend, along with the French and English public service announcements
for the SOGC, which we placed ourselves with Cineplex Odeon, are clear indications
that we are committed to providing value above all."
The college student made national headlines in 2003 not only for his outstanding
performance on the racetrack, which saw him post seven top-five finishes, three
race wins, two pole positions and two fastest race laps, but also for his distinctive
sponsorship program which was headlined by title sponsor SOGC. Guerrieri, who
is the national spokesperson for the SOGC's Contraception Awareness Program,
also busied himself at race events, youth shows, football games and rock concerts
by working with the SOGC to hand out some 30,000 condoms and promotional items
as well as encourage young Canadians to visit the organization's public information
site, www.sexualityandu.ca.
Guerrieri is currently awaiting the outcome of several racing series reorganization
efforts before determining where he will run in 2004.
"Right now the open-wheel racing series that I am interested in are changing
ownership hands. We are going to evaluate each on their own merit and competitive
value in the coming weeks, but know for sure that we will be going racing in
2004. We already have firm cash commitments from several organizations including
the SOGC, and we are planning our non-race event promotion program at this time.
It's going to be another exciting year for us."
The February edition of Motor Trend is on newsstands around the world now. The
public service announcement will begin airing in both French and English in
theatres across Canada in February.

Guerrieri Earns Top Awards at Formula Ford Year-End
Banquet
MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada (October 19, 2003) - Pickering, Ontario
native Christopher Guerrieri capped off the 2003 Canadian Formula Ford Championship
season on Saturday night by claiming the top two prizes at the series annual
awards banquet in Montreal. In a ceremony that was held at the Delta Hotel Centreville,
Guerrieri, 20, was crowned series Champion and was singled out for his outstanding
performance overall and awarded the coveted Ford Driver of the Year title.
Guerrieri won the championship with 123 points, beating out second place Didier
Schraenen and third place David Clubine who earned 94 and 92 points respectively.
It was Guerrieri's second year in the Canadian Formula Ford Championship; in
2002 he was named the series Rookie-of-the-Year
.
The college student made national headlines in 2003 not only for his outstanding
performance on the racetrack, which saw him post seven top-five finishes, three
race wins, two pole positions and two fastest race laps, but also for his distinctive
sponsorship program which was headlined by title sponsor the Society of Obstetricians

to hand out some 20,000 condoms and promotional items as well as encourage young
Canadians to visit the organization's public information site, www.sexualityandu.ca.
"This year would not have been possible were it not for the support of
the SOGC and my sponsors Medbroadcast.com, The Katz Group, Trustex condoms ,
Brymark and Northstar Promotions," said Guerrieri. "To have such a
group of companies, of people, supporting me through everything, it's really
unbelievable."
" I also want to thank my parents. Many of you have seen the commercial
on TV (Guerrieri is featured in a public service announcement for www.sexualityandu.ca).
That was the work of the SOGC, but also with my dad's help. Both my mother and
father have worked so hard for me. My team, Mauro, Katia, the entire team, they're
just the best. I'm so happy to win this championship, I wouldn't be up here
if it wasn't for them."
Guerrieri, whose unique sponsor platform thrust him into the media spotlight
will continue to work with the SOGC and the
www.sexualityandu.ca website through the off-season.
"We couldn't be more please with the way things have turned out,"
said Lisa Spencer, Coordinator of the Contraception Awareness Program for the
SOGC. "Christopher has been an amazing driver and an amazing spokesperson
for our program. He's been helping us get out there in the news and in turn
I believe that we've been able to help him as well. We went into this program
a little bit unsure of how this would all pan out, but it has been such a successful
program for us all around. We're really looking forward to working with him
again next year."

Guerrieri Wins Race and Championship at Mont Tremblant
Contributor: F1600 Press Release MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec, Canada (September, 2003)
It was a very rainy Sunday afternoon, but that didnt stop Chris
Guerrieri, the Formula Ford 1600 series points leader, from pulling 18 other drivers
around the challenging Mont Tremblant course for fifteen laps. Chris led from
flag to flag and won not only the last round of the championship, but the driver
title as well.
The rain was relentless as the lights went green to start the race. Guerrieri,
who hails from Pickering, ON, had a perfect start but he was closely followed
by the experienced Didier Schraenen, twice champion of the series. The Mont St-Hilaire
driver stayed very close to Guerrieri for the first eight laps of the race, but
the water accumulation on the track took its toll, and Didier spun in corner one,
dropping him back to seventh. Pincourt, QCs Olivier Lambert, twice winner
at Trois-Rivières earlier this season, then took second place from Schraenen.
Behind him, veteran Robert Boyer had jumped from 13th spot into third, while young
rookie Mathieu Audette from Mirabel, QC, who had started in eighth place, was
now fourth. He was challenged by François Bellemare from Pointe-du-Lac,
QC but on lap twelve, Bellemare slightly lost control in front of the control
tower, riding in the grass before getting back on the track and dropping a few
positions. As for David Clubine from Brantford, ON, he started from fourth place
but spun on the very first lap and was forced to fight his way back through the
field.
Chris Guerrieri, 2003 Formula Ford Champion
This race being the last of the season, Guerrieri confirmed his championship with
the win. As for Schraenen, he once again ends up in second place. The race was
tighter for third place since David Clubine and Rookie of the Year Dan Burchill
from Mitchell, ON had the same exact number of points, each with a win. Clubine
will technically finish third in the points, thanks for his more numerous appearances
on the podium.
It was a very happy Guerrieri who told us more about the race after the event:
It was terrible out there at the beginning with all that rain. I saw Didier
in my mirrors but then I decided I would concentrate on my driving and I would
not look back. I only noticed later that he was not behind anymore. I had watched
the Vintage cars earlier in the morning and studied their behaviour on the wet
track. That helped me. I am very proud of winning this championship, especially
because I did it in front of my friends and my sponsors at the SOGC and Brymark.
Softspoken Olivier Lambert was also very proud of his second place finish:
It was not easy out there. It was very difficult and the track was very slippery.
I had fog inside my helmet at one point. But I am happy with my second place.
As for Mathieu Audette, the rookie was very satisfied with his third place:
I do not have much experience in the rain. But I am ecstatic with my first podium
finish in a national pro race. Ill be back to run all of the championship
races next year.
Veteran Didier Schraenen was hoping for a win here to dedicate to his injured
crew chief, Marc Montminy but could do no better than sixth place. He winds up
second in the championship standings: Once again second! If it hadnt
been for the two DNFS I had this season, I would have been in a better position
to battle Guerrieri. Still, Id like to congratulate him for his first championship and
Ill be back next season!
